Welcome to Southwestern's Chapter of AAWCC!AAWCC is guided in all of its endeavors by a firm commitment to equity and excellence in education and employment for women in community, junior and technical colleges. That commitment is translated into action at the national, regional, state and local levels through AAWCC programs, activities and services developed. 2006 AAWCC Fall Conference November 16–17, 2006The annual AAWCC-Oregon Conference is set for Nov. 16-17, once again at the beautiful Airport Sheraton Hotel, Portland. Be sure to save the date because this year’s conference promises to be another good one. The theme is “20 Years of Attitude: Learning from our Past, Looking Toward Our Future.” Great speakers, informative workshops, entertainment and food all are planned, including a Thursday night social event guaranteed to knock you “Back to the Future.” Plan to attend the social event — open to all — wearing an outfit from your favorite era. What’s your favorite look: poodle skirts, pill boxes, mini skirts, tie dye and bell bottoms, the Gothic look, or punk? Bring a photo of yourself from the 60s, 70s or early 80s — we’ll post them and try to guess who’s who.
