Southwestern Oregon Community College is located in the heart of Oregon's scenic south coast - an area known for its miles of open public beaches, vast forests, clear lakes, fish-filled rivers, immense sand dunes, abundant wildlife and boundless recreational opportunities.

Southwestern's Bay Area offers comprehensive medical facilities, exceptional livability and a workforce available for immediate employment. The College offers many education and training incentives to businesses relocating to the area.

Conference Services - Complete conference and meeting planning with experienced staff. Meeting and breakout rooms are available for 10 to 500 participants. Amenities include: Housing, a Performing Arts Center, business services, food service, and media services with state-of-the-art audio/visual equipment.

Cultural Enrichment - Southwestern's newly constructed Hales Center for the Performing Arts offers an acoustically superior experience for any one of the 501 comfortable seats. With the newest high-tech lighting and sound, it serves as an excellent venue for theatrical performances or conferences.

Government Contracts Assistance Program (GCAP) - The Federal Government buys over $125 million dollars every day from small businesses like yours. Many businesses have not taken advantage of these lucrative opportunities because they are unaware of them or are apprehensive of the procedures. GCAP was established to provide comprehensive information and assistance to Oregon small businesses desiring to compete in this market.

Internships - Southwestern works with local businesses to develop internships for students pursuing a degree at Southwestern. These internships are designed to combine classroom theory with practical experiences in the workplace. It also provides employers with an early look at graduates prior to them officially entering the job market.

Small Business Development Center (BDC) - The SBDC provides training, counseling, information and referrals for the business community in southwestern Oregon through locations in Coos Bay and Brookings. The SBDC provides both short-term and long-term training to owners and managers in small businesses with a focus on improving profitability and marketshare.

South Coast Development Council - Offering services to assist business's needs during relocation to the South Coast. From finding the right building to finding the best employees, SCDC is here to facilitate your move.

University Center - The University Center is a collaboration between Southwestern and Oregon's four-year universities such as Oregon State University and Eastern Oregon University. The University Center allows students to complete bachelor's and master's degree programs without leaving the area.
