BDC workshop takes mystery out of bookkeeping

Current and potential business owners can learn to establish and maintain a simple set of books on the cash basis through a two-part workshop being offered by the Southwestern Oregon Community College Business Development Center.

The Simplified Bookkeeping Workshop is scheduled from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Feb. 5 and 12, in North Bend. The course also covers how and when to computerize accounting systems, the differences between cash and accrual basis accounting and tips to make records “goof proof.”

The cost to participate is $34 per person, and reservations are required. For more information or to register, those interested can contact the Southwestern BDC at 756-6778.
