BDC workshop covers doing business with government

The Southwestern Oregon Community College Business Development Center and Government Contract Assistance Program are teaming up to offer a workshop in Gold Beach to help Curry County businesses sell products and services to federal, state and local government agencies.

The two-hour workshop – scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, at the Southwestern Gold Beach Center – includes information about required registrations and certifications and finding contract opportunities, Internet links and assistance. J. Rick Evans, GCAP Executive Director, will explain the $300 billion market, the hoops to jump through, the hurdles to jump over, the rewards and the types of businesses that succeed.
