Southwestern seeks volunteers for track meet

Southwestern Oregon Community College is hosting its first-ever home track and field meet on campus and is seeking volunteers to help make the 20-event endeavor a success.

The NWAACC Southern Region Championships track and field meet is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. rain or shine on Saturday, May 10, at the new Southwestern track and field facility in Coos Bay. Lunch will be provided for all volunteers on the day of the event. No experience is necessary, and training will be provided from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 3. Lunch also will be provided at that event after the training.
