Southwestern offers eBay selling course in Brookings

Southwestern Oregon Community College is offering the “eBay Selling” course in Brookings for those who are ready to get started in the exciting world of online selling.

Karen Clark – an education specialist trained by eBay – will be teaching the class from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, in Brookings. The information offered in the class will help students get their businesses up and running on eBay. Participants will learn to:

• Use eBay to sell items;
• Create titles, descriptions and photographs to attract buyers;
• Accept online payments with PayPal;
• Set competitive pricing; and
• Monitor and analyze sales.

Clark will be using teaching tools provided by eBay following the “Teaching the Basics of Selling on eBay” teaching module. An accompanying optional text also is available. It is suggested that students have basic computer skills before signing up for the class.
