Articulation Procedures
- Registration Form
Instructor/Course Approval
- High school administrator calls Tech Prep Coordinator with articulation
request.
- Administrator sends college transcript of high school instructor
with first page of *college employment application filled out by
instructor to Tech Prep Coordinator with note on desired course articulation.
- Tech Prep Office starts articulation file (by instructor name and
district).
- Copy of file is delivered to appropriate Associate Dean, Division
Director or representative.
- Division Director or representative discusses instructor/course
approval with appropriate department. Division Director determines
approval of course. Dean or representative determines approval of
faculty.
- Notice of approval/disapproval given to Tech Prep office.
- If approved, "Request to Hire" (goldenrod) is filled
out by Division Director and routed through normal Human Resource
procedures.
- Tech Prep Office notifies high school personnel and discusses logistics.
Course Evaluation - Quality Control
- College faculty mentor assigned.
- Mentor and high school instructor meet to discuss goals, grading,
outcomes, student placement, etc.
- Mentor completes course evaluation form.
- Mentor and instructor meet as needed to make certain class is
college level and meets course outcomes.
- If difficulties arise, efforts will be made to find a collaborative
resolution. However, continuing approval rests with the Dean or the
Dean's representative.
- Students complete course evaluation.
Credit Logistics
- Students meet class outcomes through agreed upon performance measure(s).
- Students fill out and sign the appropriate registration form
that is also signed by the instructor.
- Instructor includes class roster with student grades.
- The registration form and class roster are turned in to Tech Prep
Office with appropriate fees. (If high school desires, cost for 2+2
tuition can be billed directly to the high school or district. Prior
arrangements need to be made with the Tech Prep Office.)

- Tech Prep Office registers students and keeps needed records of
students by school and course.
- Tech Prep Office sends unofficial grade report to high school.

Instructors only need to fill out and sign the first page of the employment
