Food Handlers Training

This training is offered by the Coos County Health Department as required by Oregon Law. The certification exam is held at the end of class. You can access information regarding current Food Handler Classes (including dates and locations) and pre-register by calling 888-7622.

A duplicate certificate may be obtained from the Coos County Health Department at a cost of $5.00. Please call (541) 756.2020 ext. 643 to request a duplicate.

• Persons must pre-register.
• There is no charge for the class. If you pass the test, the cost of the card is $10.00 cash; PERSONAL CHECKS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.
• Participants should take their PAYMENT to class with them.
• Walk-in testing is available for those who are unable to attend a class. This is offered every Wednesday morning between 8 am and 11:15 am at the Coos County Health Department, 1975 McPherson Suite 1, Room 235, in North Bend . NO APPOINTMENT IS NECESSARY.
• Students taking the test at either location should prepare by studying the training manual "Food Safety." This publication is available at the Coos County Health Department for $2.00 or available for loan at all Coos County Libraries.
