Creating Community with Education

Southwestern offers community education, classes and workshops that continue our commitment to provide quality learning opportunities for lifelong education in local and outlying areas. Our community education curriculum includes classes in areas such as:

  • Art and photography
  • Health and fitness
  • Recreation
  • Personal enrichment
  • Special interest topics (i.e., sign language, amateur radio, tax preparation)
  • For-credit math in North Bend , Coquille and Reedsport
  • Workplace, safety, and volunteer training
  • Online, non-credit classes at www.ed2go.com/socc

Some community education classes require that you pre-register. For others, you can register as you would for any academic class, either online or by coming into Student First Stop on campus in Dellwood Hall. For registration options, click on Registration Information above. For class dates, location, class instructor, and tuition or fees for a particular class, click on the following: WebAdvisor. Click on WebAdvisor for Students, Search for Classes, and select Outreach for location. You can also check the schedule that is mailed to each household before the beginning of each term.
