The Associate of Science Natural Resources Emphasis provides students with an introduction to the technical and scientific knowledge related to natural resource policy and management. Students will complete foundation coursework that will prepare them for continuing their program of study at a four year institution. Students will learn about social, economic and political influences on resource use and environmental policy, and how to problem-solve when faced with sensitive natural resource issues in an atmosphere of diverse opinions. Students will obtain preparation for careers in resource planning, management, conservation and education roles with government agencies, non-governmental organizations and in educational settings.
