Southwestern athlete to sign 4-year college letter of intent
COOS BAY, OR – Nicole Brzeczek, a guard for the Southwestern Oregon Community College (SWOCC) Women’s Basketball team, will sign a national letter of intent April 13 to continue playing basketball next year at Regis University, a NCAA Division II school and member of the RMAC conference.
The 5’8” guard is originally from Santee High School of Lakeside, California. She averaged 17 points, four rebounds, and two assists per game last season, including a game of 31 points versus Linn Benton Community College on 9 of 16 shooting from the 3-point line.
Brzeczek will graduate from SWOCC this spring term. She was a member of the Southern Region All-Star team this season and was voted First Team All-Southern Region by the coaches in the conference. Brzeczek was also voted team MVP by her peers on the Women’s Basketball team.
“Nicole has been a vital asset to this Laker team’s rise into the upper half of Southern region basketball,” said SWOCC Head Coach Mike Herbert. “We will miss her talent and leadership. All of us wish her much success at Regis.”
