Adam Whitlatch
Head Coach

Coach Whitlatch joins the Lakers from his previous coaching position at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Coach Whitlatch helped the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse place 2nd at he NCAA Division III Championship Tournament as well as a first place finish at the Division III National Duals.

While at Wisconsin La Crosse he earned a master in Pedagogy. Prior to coaching in Wisconsin, Adam Whitlatch coached at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio an NCAA Division I school. Coach Whitlatch also wrestled for five years at Ohio University and in 1999 qualified for the NCAA tournament.

Coach Whitlatch also earned degrees in Physical Education and Adventure Recreation while attending Ohio University. These experiences have prepared coach Whitlatch to lead the Lakers to a successful season. Coach Whitlatch looks forward to working with wrestling supporters and fans in the Southern Oregon area, as well as building a powerful wrestling team at Southwestern.

Assistant Coach

Phillip is a Southern Oregon native. He wrestled high school at Reedsport High school just 30 miles north of Coos Bay. Phillip finished competing for southwestern in 2004 and was a two time NJCAA National qualifier.  After competing for Southwestern he then returned to Reedsport to be the head coach.  In between coaching at Reedsport Phillip works with Southwester’s wrestling program. Phillip is married to his wife Jen and has three children Myah, Kyleigh, and Tygren.
