You are invited to view a rare selection of artistic travel photography created by former SWOCC instructor Vernon Sorenson. Between 1961 and 1982, Sorenson taught Photography , French and German at SWOCC . The exhibit opening will be February 10th at 1:30pm in Eden Hall and will be on display during February – March. This exhibit was originally on display in May of 1974 and was titled “Europe in Black and White.”

Public and Private Grants Arrive at SWOCC

SWOCC received a grant of $1.48 million from the Department of Labor called the Credential Acceleration and Support for Employment Trade Adjustment (CASE). It was designed to serve those who had been laid off due to jobs going overseas, although the service population can meet a broader definition. Oregon was one of the highest funded CASE grants in the U.S.
