ELEC101 Electronic Processes
3 credits (6 lec-lab hrs/wk)
An introduction to electricity technology
as it applies to devices and circuits used in electronic communication, computers and computer interfaces, and
manufacturing systems. The course emphasizes fundamental electronic
concepts, theory, and practices. Topics include practical applications and verifying results using a variety of equipment while maintaining a safe working environment.
ELEC102 Electronic Processes II
3 credits (6 lec-lab hrs/wk)
Electronic fundamentals including
semiconductor device applications, digital/microprocessor control, computer control and systems. Emphasis on hands-on applications which include using
electronic test equipment, computer
software and hardware applications,
electronic control, schematic and systems documentation interpretation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting
techniques applied to the basics of
manufacturing monitor and control.
Prerequisite: ELEC101 with a “C” or
better.
