On Campus

Baseball, Frisbee, football, kite-flying, soccer, softball, volleyball and basketball areas are available to conference and camp attendees. Equipment may be checked out at the Fitness Center in Prosper Hall.

Recreation Center (541) 888-7714
The facility’s Fitness Center offers machine and free weights, treadmills, stair-steppers, ellipticals, rowing machines, and exercise bikes. The facility also has a gymnasium with 6 hoops, one racquetball court, day-use locker rooms, and a variety of classrooms.

Empire Cafe (541) 888-7638
Come in for refreshing sodas, coffees, teas, juices and specialty drinks. Also served daily are homemade cookies and pastries, soups, sandwiches and salads.

Lighthouse Depot
Play Station 2, big screen TV, VCR/DVD, game room, sand volleyball pit and outdoor basketball court are available.

The resources of Southwestern's library are available to you while you are on campus. These include reference materials, current magazines and newspapers and Internet resources. Click here for library hours.

Hiking Trails
A mile and one-half trail passes through campus as it meanders around Empire Lakes.

Art Galleries
A small gallery in Eden Hall exhibits the work of staff, students and community artists.

The gallery adjacent to the Hales Center for the Performing Arts auditorium features rotating exhibits of the College's large collection of original artwork and visiting artists.

Outdoor Sculpture Garden
The Southwestern campus has a growing collection of commissioned outdoor sculptures and art. These include the Poet's Eye, (a tranquil fountain with an outdoor pond) and Wind, a vibrant celebration of life.

Off Campus
Southwestern is located in the heart of Oregon's scenic south coast - an area known for its miles of open public beaches, vast forests, clear lakes, fish-filled rivers, immense sand dunes, abundant wildlife and boundless recreational activities.
