Staff Development Sub-Committee
Sub-Committee Charter:
Scope: The Staff Development Sub-Committee was formed to review all non-faculty staff development travel and campus development activities.
Purpose:
The purpose of the committee is to monitor the coordination and funding of activities which promote professional growth of non-faculty employees.
Activities:
The sub-committee may pursue its purpose by:
- Informing all non-faculty staff about development procedures.
- Disseminating non-faculty staff development requests for sub-committee review in a timely manner.
- Initiating and/or coordinating non-faculty development programs with Human Resources on campus.
- Holding meetings as needed (electronically or face-to-face).
- Processing requests for funding in a timely manner.
- Making funding recommendations to the President for final approval.
- Reporting sub-committee activities to the CORE steering committee.
Participants: A minimum of three (3) college staff members, with representation from both classified and exempt employee groups.
