Nine Gold Beach, Port Orford and Brookings child care providers and Early Intervention program staff recently completed six hours of specialized training in "Partnering with Parents to Support Children's Learning." The class was facilitated by CARE Connections of Southwestern Oregon Community College through a grant from Partnerships for Inclusive Child Care and Education (PICCE). more...
Positive Parenting Classes in Curry County a Success!
On Tuesday, June 2nd Pathways To Positive Parenting, in Partnership with Southwestern Oregon Community College and Azalea Middle School, completed the last of ten parenting sessions. Spring terms’ classes were unique to Curry County for two reasons. First, Make Parenting A Pleasure Curriculum was presented for the first time, and second, because The Incredible Years Parenting Curriculum was taught in Spanish. more...

Southwestern Oregon Community College presented its annual Student Awards Convocation the evening of June 2 at the Brookings Campus. The event recognizes and awards hard working students who have achieved distinction inside and/or outside the classroom.
