Flavors of Fall Cooking Class Offered in Brookings

Join Chef Monica Almond and celebrate the bounty of the season to delight your palate! Participants in this class will learn to prepare a variety of dishes us¬ing seasonal produce including: Butternut Squash Soup with cream, horseradish and curry powder; Turkey, Juniper and Peppercorn Terrine; Pancetta and Pistachios to compliment turkey and berries; Roasted Root Vegetables; and Spiced Kumquats to accompany baked ham Add something new to your holiday celebrations with these flavorful recipes.

Chef Monica Almond is a graduate of Southwestern’s Oregon Coast Culinary Institute in Coos Bay. This class will meet at the Curry Campus in Brookings on Tuesday, October 3 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Participants will have a chance to sample dishes prepared in class. Pre-registration is required. Cost of the class is $50. Class space is limited.
