Coos Bay, OR – Southwestern Oregon Community College is pleased to announce that Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society will hold its annual induction ceremony for new members on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 7:00pm.
Phi Theta Kappa, established in 1918, is the largest honor society in American higher education. The mission of the society is to recognize and encourage the academic achievement of two-year college students and to provide opportunities for individual growth and development through participation in scholarship, leadership, service, and fellowship programming. To be eligible for membership students must achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Southwestern is proud to recognize the hard working students who will be inducted into this prestigious honor society.
