Skills Training planned in Curry County


Experienced supervisors and those new to management positions will benefit from a Supervisory Skills Training series offered by the Southwestern Oregon Community College Business Development Center starting Oct. 7 in Brookings.

The series includes nine twice-monthly evening training sessions – scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. every other Tuesday at the Southwestern Brookings Center – focusing on interviewing, performance appraisal, communications, team building, delegation and discipline and termination. Participants will be surveyed at the first session and the topics covered in the following sessions will be tailored to meet individual needs of participants.

Business advising also is available to address individual and business supervisory issues and needs. The total program cost is $150 per person and preregistration is required.
