Southwestern honors top academic achievers for year

2009-10 Academic Achievers from Curry County


Southwestern Oregon Community College announced today its Southwestern Scholar students for the 2009-10 academic year.

To achieve Southwestern Scholar status, students must have been listed on the Academic Excellence list – which requires a 4.0 grade-point average in at least 12 graded credit hours – or Honor Roll – which requires a grade-point average between 3.5 and 3.99 in at least 12 graded credit hours – for fall, winter and spring terms. Those students are listed as follows, in alphabetical order, sorted by home town. Below are the students from Curry County.

Brookings, OR: Ryan McCormick, Shannon Tew, Kaila Yeager

Gold Beach, OR: Tiffany Akins, Daniel Cleghorn, Nathan Moore, Matthew Vila

Langlois, OR: Natalie Manning

Port Orford, OR: Pamela Massengill
