Southwestern Oregon Community College presented its annual Student Awards Convocation the evening of June 2 at the Brookings Campus. The event recognizes and awards hard working students who have achieved distinction inside and/or outside the classroom. Students have set an example by demonstrating academic excellence, participating in extra-curricular activities, and providing service to the college.

The recipients of the 2009-10 Southwestern Foundation scholarship awards were also announced.
