Host Provider Info

What is "Host Provider?"

Host provider refers to a fully online class that is offered through a participating college in the OCCDL program. When you need a class that SOCC is not offering, you may be able to take that class through a provider college that SOCC would host for its students.

You are still a SOCC student; however, there are differences in registration dates, fees, class space, Learning Management Systems, and support.

For more information about distance courses at Oregon community colleges, check out Oregon Colleges Online.

How to Get to Class...

Each college has a different process and system for its online courses. Please make sure you know which college is offering the course(s) you are taking, and click on that school below.

If you have difficulties getting into the class, contact the instructor immediately. Contact your Southwestern Instructor.

Some classes have an orientation. This could be a face to face or online orientation. You are strongly advised to attend it, even if you have taken other online classes before, since these orientations focus on course content rather than technical skills. If there is an orientation, it will be posted on your class home page.

Southwestern has a variety of services to assist you in your educational pursuit!
