Description

Academic Language course is designed for international students planning to study in North American colleges and universities. The great advantage of this program is that it has been aligned with the specific requirements for the new TOEFL Internet-based test (iBT) administered by the Educational Testing Services (ETS).

The program is organized as a three-level (A, B, and C) integrated curriculum. In the introductory course, students develop basic language competence. In the intermediate course, students are introduced to TOEFL iBT. The advanced level leads to communicative competence, TOEFL, and academic readiness. Additionally, ELI program offers an adjunct content class that promotes development of study skills and knowledge in the subject area.

• International students planning to study in North American colleges and universities.
• Students of all language levels - no TOEFL Score is required!

Technology

Our students work in multimedia environment: they do research on the Internet, use state-of-the-art software to practice pronunciation and TOEFL iBT, and listen to recorded books on Tegrity software. Reports, surveys, and interviews are posted on ELI web pages along with other creative art, drama, and crafts projects.
