During the holiday season and into the New Year, the Southwestern Oregon Community College Foundation is reminded that through the generosity of this past year we have made a significant positive impact on the lives of Southwestern students because of supporters like you.
Supporting the pursuit of learning, the Southwestern Foundation continues to create opportunities for Southwestern student success through our yearly scholarship offering. This school year, 120 students were awarded over $120,000 in direct tuition assistance from the Southwestern Foundation. While our impact is significant, so is the remaining need. Last year alone the Southwestern Foundation received over 75 student scholarship applications that we were unable to grant.
As we continue to pursue ways to create opportunities for student success, the Foundation again has an opportunity to increase scholarships for students with a challenge grant from the James and Marion Miller Foundation. The Miller Foundation will match the scholarship dollars raised at the Southwestern Foundation up to $50,000 from new donors or those who increase their support of the Southwestern Foundation.
The Southwestern Foundation can only directly impact students with your support. In order to increase our scholarship offerings to students and meet the challenge grant match, we ask for you to sent your tax deductable donation to the Southwestern Foundation at the address below.
Thank you in advance for your continued generosity for the students at Southwestern.
