The Board of Education will be considering the acceptance of a contract from South Coast Business Corporation for $394,485 for the period of July 1, 2007 – June 30, 2008. The Family Support Act program started at SOCC in 1990. The program has evolved and expanded over the years as a collaborative project with South Coast Business, Adult and Family Services, and SOCC. Program services include work readiness skills training, Child Edu-Care and Drop-in Child Care. Services are provided through the Adult learning Skills Program at the Newmark Center and at the Family Center.
