Faculty Development
  • Teaching and Learning Center for faculty and staff created
  • First faculty cohort completed their training and innovation pilots are in process
  • Multiple faculty development opportunities were offered featuring; new technologies, best practices, advising, retention, and attendance at conferences

Comprehensive Institutional Assessment

  • Robin Bunnell transitioned to full-time institutional researcher
  • Institutional effectiveness “dashboard” of key indicators created
  • Southwestern joined the Continuous Quality Improvement Network (CQIN) became a partner in CQIN WIRED: Innovation Curriculum Development Project.
  • Assessment strategies at the session, class, course, department, program, and institution levels are part of cohort trainings

Instructional Innovation

  • Faculty Innovations committee created to support faculty innovation pilots
  • Expanded advisor training
  • Summer Bridge pilot program in conjunction with Marshfield High School
  • First Year Experience and Math Lab planning began

Enhanced Student Services

  • WebAdvisor E-advising Service Package was purchased and software installed, employee and faculty training in process
  • Wireless campus created
  • Two technology rich classrooms were created.
  • Tegrity system being used to enhance traditional, on-line, and hybrid courses for improved student learning
