The Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) "is a system of surveys designed to collect data from all primary providers of postsecondary education. IPEDS is a single, comprehensive system designed to encompass all institutions and educational organizations whose primary purpose is to provide postsecondary education. The IPEDS system is built around a series of interrelated surveys to collect institution-level data in such areas as enrollments, program completions, faculty, staff, and finances." (http://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/)
To view Southwestern institutional data as well as other postsecondary institutions, visit the CollegeNavigator system. Enter the institution name in the quick search area and submit, then click on the institution and the profile will be displayed. Click items from the list on the left-hand side to display data reported to IPEDS by the institution. The site lists information, in part, related to Student Right To Know data, campus crime statistics, student loan default rates, graduation and retention rates, financial aid data, some of the required institutional disclosures and consumer information, and other related data.
Oregon Community Colleges have participated in the Student Opinion Survey developed by ACT (American College Testing Program) since 1994. The last survey was administered in May 2006, with the narrative report for Southwestern student respondents only and a state-wide summary narrative available for viewing. The tables presented represent the state-wide summary narrative.
