Computer Workstations Acceptable Use Guidelines

  1. Course related research takes precedence over personal use of computers.
  2. Users are to maintain professional and courteous communication. Disruptive, belligerent, or obnoxious behavior will not be tolerated.
  3. Library staff can only provide limited assistance with computer programs.
  4. College policy requires compliance with all U.S. copyright laws. Copying software without appropriate authorization violates these laws.
  5. No computer will be used in violation of federal or state laws governing the viewing or sending of materials.
  6. Do not turn off or restart computers. If there is a problem with the computers, alert library staff.
  7. Do not download files or programs to the hard drive.
  8. Do not install software on the computers.
  9. Do not add, delete or modify files, data or settings existing on the computers.
  10. No chat programs are permitted.

Willfully violating these rules may result in the loss of computer use privileges and disciplinary action.
