Computers

Southwestern Library public access computers are available to students, staff, faculty, and the general public. They provide access to various library-related databases, the library's catalog, and to the Internet.

  • For purposes other than academic research, such as word processing and spreadsheets, students must use the computers in the Instructional Computer Lab on the 4th floor of the Tioga building.
  • Library computers are made available for use on the assumption that the user agrees to abide by the library's Acceptable Use Guidelines.
  • The use of college-owned computer systems, networks, and other information technology resources must be in compliance with the college's Acceptable Use of Information Technology Resources, local, state, and federal laws.
  • The library does not charge for use of its public access computers.
  • Printing is available at $.10 per page. Pictures are $.25 per page.
  • The library has no control over information received through the Internet and, therefore, cannot be held responsible for content or quality of the information retrieved.
  • Please refer to the American Library Association Bill of Rights for the library's position on issues of freedom of access to information.
