The card holder is responsible for all materials checked out on their patron library card. Report lost or stolen cards to your library immediately, so a block can be placed on your account.

Lost Materials:

• Default charges for items are automatically calculated by the library system and placed in the patron record (This does not include billing fees):
  • Book/Media = $30
  • Periodical = $30
  • Videocassette = $35
• Interlibrary loan material: Replacement charge is determined by the lending library.
• Actual charge for lost material may be more or less, depending on current replacement cost determined by checking standard library sources.

Damaged materials:

The Library Director determines whether an item has been damaged beyond repair. In such cases, the borrower will be charged the replacement cost and processing fee.
