Flavors of Fall Cooking Class Offered


Brookings, OR. - Join Chef Monica Almond and celebrate the bounty of the season to delight your palate! Participants in this class will learn to prepare a variety of dishes us­ing seasonal produce including: Butternut Squash Soup with cream, horseradish and curry powder; Turkey, Juniper and Peppercorn Terrine; Pancetta and Pistachios to compliment turkey and berries; Roasted Root Vegetables; and Spiced Kumquats to accompany baked ham. Add something new to your holiday celebrations with these flavorful recipes.

Chef Monica Almond is a graduate of Southwestern’s Oregon Coast Culinary Institute in Coos Bay. This class will meet at the Curry Campus in Brookings, 6:00pm to 9:00 pm, Tuesday, October 30. Participants will have a chance to sample dishes prepared in class. Pre-registration is required. Cost of the class is $50. Class space is limited.
