COOS BAY, OR – Southwestern Oregon Community College will be hosting a free scholarship workshop for current and future students.

The Oregon Student Assistance Commission (OSAC) administers over 400 scholarships for Oregon students. Students complete one online application to apply for any of the OSAC-administered scholarships for which they are eligible. The due date for the 2010-2011 OSAC scholarship application is March 1.

Caddy McKeown, Pacific Region Supervisor for ASPIRE, will be presenting valuable tips and advice for completing this application. McKeown has years of experience with OSAC and is an expert on what the scholarship committee looks for in an application.
