Brookings, OR. - SOCC Pathways To Positive Parenting is also offering monthly Strengthening Families parenting workshops at Azalea Middle School beginning September 27th. These 2 hour workshops are designed for families with youth ages 10-14 and include interactive one hour sessions for youth and adults concurrently, then youth and adults join together for a one hour interactive family session.  Each month’s workshop will feature different topics.

• 9/27 Adults - Love & Limits / Youth-Having Goals & Dreams
• 10/25 Adults -Making House Rules / Youth- Appreciating Parents
• 11/29 Adults - Encouraging Good Behavior / Youth- Dealing with Stress
• 1/31 Adults - Using Consequences / Youth- Following Rules
• 2/28 Adults - Building Bridges / Youth- Dealing with Peer Pressure
• 4/25 Adults - Protecting Against Substance Abuse / Youth- Peer Pressure and Good Friends
• 5/30 End of the Year Celebration/ Adults - Introduction to other Curricula and Workshops  / Youth - Empowerment / Family Goal Setting
