Facilitator's Resources

Recent Training

The Pathways To Positive Parenting Program would like to thank all the potential facilitators, organizations and community partners who attended the  3-day Nurturing Parenting training on November 8th, 9th and 10th by Doctor Stephen Bavoleck, nationally known author of the Nurturing Parenting curricula.

"It was a great experience for me," says Kathy Barber, Parenting program coordinator,  I hope it was for you too.  I have already communicated with “Dr. B” about returning this winter or spring…so stay tuned!  Meanwhile…we would like to have a follow-up meeting of all interested facilitators who might like to facilitate Nurturing Parenting through the college.  (I understand that many of our trainees are planning to do this only within their own agencies, but you would be welcome to join the discussion even if this is the case). We will look at the curriculum including going through a sample “lesson” and discuss next steps and possible collaborations.

 Information Sharing

Each of our facilitators has a rich background of knowledge and experience working with children and families. Just like each unique color together makes a rainbow, each facilitator brings color to our program and together we provide a full spectrum of possibilities we can all grow and benefit from.

Our Facebook page is a great place to share resources and information with each other as well as the parenting community at large. So if you are looking for information about a question you encountered during a recent parenting class and find a great article online or website you think others might be interested in, feel free to share it. We will post some of those links and articles here on this page as well and build a resource list.
