There are room schedules posted by the door to each room. If the time of the day you are interested in is blank, the room is likely available. The front desk does not hand out copies of the schedules, as the schedules can change.
The rivets manufactured into jeans and other similar clothing can rip the vinyl on the benches, seats, etc. Therefore, jeans and other clothing with similar features are prohibited.
The wood floors are vulnerable to damage and wear. The use of a jump rope on these floors will likely result in damage to the finish. The Activity Room is recommended for those who wish to jump rope.
To prevent or lessen risk of injury.
Glass bottles or containers are not allowed in the facility. Clear drinks in plastic bottles are allowed in the weight room. Other food and drink are only allowed in the lobby area, and any trash must be discarded appropriately.
Users must provide a valid SOCC ID or driver’s license/state ID to check out basketballs or other equipment. All checked-out equipment must be returned to the front desk, where your ID will be returned to you.
Weight room users are asked to clean their machines after use. Each person using the weight room is asked to have a sweat towel (or bring their own). Free weights and other equipment should be returned to their original location.
All items needing maintenance (both indoor and outdoor) should be reported to building staff.
Climbers must currently be enrolled in rock wall climbing class to use the rock wall, only during approved times when a designated Rock Wall Supervisor is present.
People utilizing the equipment in the Fitness Center are asked to limit their time on any one machine to 30 minutes or less.
Intramural programs may be offered each term, based on demand.
Racquetball participants are asked to limit their use to one hour blocks, starting at the beginning of the hour.
People can reserve the racquetball court up to 48 hours in advance at the Front Desk.
