Friday Workshops - 9am to 4pm
Four different workshops are offered for more intensive instruction. Curry County Fairgrounds.  Details on page 4.

Authors’ Night - 7pm to 10pm
Join the Gold Beach community in this exciting and uplifting evening.  David Oliver Relin will give the keynote presentation on  Writing to Change the World, A brief discussion of the enduring power of the printed word to focus the world's attention on human rights and social justice, as demonstrated by the impact of Three Cups of Tea.  Following his talk will be readings by the other conference presenters, as well as a chance for book buying and signing.  Free and open to the public, held at the Curry Showcase on the Curry County Fairgrounds.

Art Show - Students and Friends of Southwestern Oregon Community College @ The Curry Showcase on the Curry County Fairgrounds.

South Coast Writers Conference - 8am to 6pm
Held at Gold Beach High School; additional information on the following pages.

Curry Public Library Book Sale: 9am -  4pm, at the new Curry Public Library.

Cedar Valley/ North Bank Fish Fry - 11am to 7pm, at Docia Sweet Hall, Curry County Fairgrounds

This regionally famous fish fry, which benefits the Cedar Valley/ North Bank Volunteer Fire Department, is one of the many highlights of the Writers Conference. Take a short walk to Docia Sweet Hall on the Curry County Fairgrounds and enjoy the festive atmosphere.  Feast on an all-you-can-eat meal of delicious white fish with coleslaw, baked beans, garlic bread, and a beverage.  Homemade desserts are not included with the meal, but are available for purchase.

EVENING ACTIVITIES:

South Coast  Writers Conference Writers’ Circle - 7pm to 9pm, @ Southwestern Oregon Community College Classroom, on the Curry County Fairgrounds.  For those who want to keep on going, join the Writers’ Circle after the conference.  Share in reading, critiquing, and networking with the new acquaintances you’ve met.

Evening Music and Entertainment, Gold Beach Books and Coffee House, Hwy 101 and 1st Street.  Details to follow.
