Adult Learning Skills Program

Schedule

The Adult Learning Skills Program will assist you in finding out about yourself through assessments, setting short and long term goals, making career or academic plans and identifying your learning styles.

The Adult Learning Skills Program, an integration of the college's adult re-entry programs (Adult Basic Skills/GED, Work and Life Skills, Single Parent/Homemaker Project, JOBS, ESL), provides access to information, skills and resources for individuals who are in the process of a major life change.  A variety of classes and support services are available to prepare participants for success in their families, in the workforce and in academic programs.  Programs under the Adult Learning Skills umbrella have been integrated and housed on campus in the Newmark Center, as an agency partner in the local Career and Opportunity One-Stop Center. ABE/GED and ESL classes are also available at other sites in Coos, Curry and Douglas counties for those who live outside of easy commuting distance of Coos Bay.

Adult Learning Skills classes are non-credit and offered to the public.
