General Education and BeyondAre you apprehensive about finishing high school or starting college? Do you need to juggle your other responsibilities while making time to upgrade your skills? Have you been out of school for so long that you aren’t sure you can be a successful college student? Do you need help obtaining your GED? We are here to help! College Transition (HD50): This program allows you to prepare for college success. You will learn about financial aid, degree planning, course registration, and more. Mon - Thurs 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Room 214 General Education Diploma (GED) Class: The ALSP GED program allows you to earn a high school equivalency certificate by passing tests on Language Arts, Writing Skills, Social Studies, Science, Reading, and Mathematics. Our experienced faculty will help you reach your goal. Mon – Thurs 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Room 201 Adult Basic Education (ABE): This program offers Adult Basic Education(ABE) to anyone who needs to review or upgrade their basic skills in Reading, Writing, or Mathematics. Mon – Thurs 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Room 207 Skills Upgrade: Upgrade your basic reading, writing and math skills for college entry or a work related field. Mon – Thurs 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Room 201 Myrtle Point (GED): Maple Education Center -

Call for additional information Career Discovery - This program allows you to prepare for the college entrance exam and build your reading, writing, and math skills for college success. You will learn about financial aid, degree planning, course registration, and more. Monday - Thursday, TBA TBA English as a Second Language (ESL) Improve your second language speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. Advance your Academic and workplace English. Computer Basic II: Mon - Thurs 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Room 204
Open Computer Lab: Mon – Thurs 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Room 206 Business Simulation Gain and improve employment skills and experience in a simulated work environment. Participants (employees) work 20 hours per week in project-based instruction. Each employee develops an individual action plan. Skill development may include computer basics, workplace communication, team building, office procedures, life skills for the workplace, customer service skills, and more. The program features a job shadow placement on campus in addition to other résumé-building activities. Mon – Thurs starting at 8:30 a.m. Pay one $25 fee and take as many classes as you like during
