OLDER WISER LEARNERS (OWLS)
Older Wiser Learners (OWLS)

Owls are non-traditional students generally over the age of 25 non-traditional students meet the following criteria:

  • Delays enrollment after high school graduation
  • Attends part-time for at least part of the academic year
  • Works full time (35 or more hours)while enrolled.
  • Is considered financially independent for purposes of determining eligibility for financial aid
  • Has dependents other than a spouse
  • Is a single parent
  • Does not have a high-school diploma 75% of all post secondary students have at least one non-traditional characteristic, you are not alone.
