"Your Invitation To Serve"

Volunteers make positive impacts...
In Coos County, 600 RSVP volunteers contribute more than 100,000 hours serving 100 organizations. Our volunteers gave Coos County more than $1.5 million worth of services that could not otherwise have been provided.

Working in non-profit organizations and government agencies...

RSVP volunteers are at work at the American Red Cross, Senior Nutrition sites, nursing homes and hopitals, visitors' centers, museums, and in schools and youth groups throughout Coos County.
Volunteers share what they've learned from work careers and hobbies, learn new skills, and do the types of things they never got a chance to do before. RSVP Volunteers make a positive impact on our community, and they find the personal satisfaction of a job well done.

Get Answers from RSVP...
Coos County RSVP volunteers are offering other senior citizens help with their taxes and guiding them through the often confusing maze of Medicare and Medicaid rules. They are teaching defensive driving to seniors, math to high school students, and reading to children in the elementary schools. They are boosting the tourism segment of our economy by staffing visitors' centers, museums and docent programs. They are building homes for the less fortunate, comforting those facing death and the death of a loved one, visiting the isolated, entertaining in our nursing homes, ... and so much more.
