The Student Support Services (SSS) tutoring lab is unique in that students meet with the retention specialist for an evaluation of their skill level and learning style. Students may take the Compass Diagnostic for math reading and writing. This test gives an in depth look at the students skill level. Students are referred to math tutoring, in SSS, they are given assignments on PLATO to augment the classroom instruction, the math department offers a math success class that give the student 3 hours a week to work with a math instructor and tutors.
