STUDENT PUBLICATIONS
The student newspaper, the Southwester, attempts to maintain complete coverage of the campus and of outside events of interest, and is a student-managed newspaper. The paper is free and is distributed on campus and in the community. It can be mailed upon request.

The Beacon is a semi-annual literary magazine, printed under the direction of the English Division. Twice a year, the staff requests submissions of campus and community-wide contributions, of articles, short stories, art, poetry and photography. Deadlines are announced via poster, newspapers, radio and television. This material is incorporated into a magazine format available to the community, at minimal cost, in the College Bookstore. Publication is always announced by a Beacon reading. All students, regardless of major and interest, are invited to become a part of these publications.

To become involved with the Southwester, contact Kate Bruner in Tioga Hall on fourth floor. For more information about the Beacon, contact your English instructor.
