NEWMARK CAREER & OPPORTUNITY ONE STOP
Students who seek information and access to College and community resources regarding families and careers will find them at the Career and Opportunity One Stop. The Newmark Career and Opportunity One Stop is comprised of the Newmark Center and Family Center. This on-campus partnership is certified as part of the Oregon Career Networkwww.newmarkcoos.org\newmark.htm.

Employment Programs
The Newmark Center One Stop includes representatives from South Coast Business Employment Corporation, Oregon Employment Department, and the Veteran's Administration to assist students with:

• Access to Job Listings in both private and government sectors.
• Entering full or part time jobs.
• Referrals to job finding resources.
• Developing continuous employment.
• Identifying interests and skills and guidance in career choices.

Education
The Newmark Center One Stop provides Adult Basic Education skills classes through the Adult Learning Skills Program, which extends additional services to unemployed and underemployed persons, single parents, displaced homemakers, spouses of dislocated or injured workers and widows of all ages. Further training opportunities are available through South Coast Business Employment Corporation.

Career Resource
The Newmark Center One Stop offers opportunities to:

• Create a resume and cover letter.
• Perform a job search utilizing a state-of-the art computer lab.
• Research local, state and national job market information.

Family Center
Provides campus Educare services for students and children. The Educare preschool serves as a model program and teaching lab for Southwestern’s Early Childhood Education program.

Social Services
The Newmark Center One Stop provides students with access to:

• Commission for the Blind
• Community Human Services
  • Child Welfare Services
  • Self Sufficiency Program
  • Seniors and People with Disabilities
  • Vocational Rehabilitation
• Employment Department
• Even Start
• Housing Authority
• South Coast Business Employment Corporation
• Southwestern Oregon Community Action
• Women's Safety & Resource Center

In addition, students will find referral access to other social services and child development opportunities. The Newmark Center also includes a Career Resource Center and the Southwestern Adult Learning Skills Program, which extends additional educational services.
