It was so much fun for me to run around and be crazy in the mascot suit! everyone seemed to enjoy it and knowing how crazy and irritating move in can be, having the raccoon seemed to lighten some spirits. i scared one little girl though i felt really bad! but it was fun to take off the head and show her that i was a real person then she was ok with it.
Volleyball...
I wore the mascot suit to a couple volleyball games this month. some people got a kick out of it. others just kinda smiled and didn't really care.... so those are the people that i embarrassed!! i tried to get the wave going but only about half of the people in the stands were interested!.... where is the school pride?! ARGH!!! we'll get better though. that was just practice for basketball season.
I got in trouble at one game though... the referee called me to her stand after i did a hand stand on the side court, and she said that i had to stay seated on the home team side unless there was a timeout or the teams were switching sides. she was nice about it but she said she had to set me straight..... hmm oh well i'll still be at the games i just gotta SIT i guess....... WHATEVER!!
RED WHITE and BLUE DANCE....
i decided to wear the mascot suit to our last dance. it was an absolute BLAST!! other than losing about 20 pounds in sweat!! but it was fun. i challenged Chris at a dance off. he had lots of moves!! but i went OLD SCHOOL on him and threw down the swimmer, some disco, and finally THE WORM!! everybody laughed cause it musta been funny to have a Raccoon dancing, but needless to say i lost! Chris knew what he was doing and totally kicked my butt! it was still fun though!
