Writing Center
The Writing Center is staffed by faculty and trained tutors to help students with the development of writing assignments and skills, including grammar. Weekly workshops are also provided on a variety of writing-related topics.

Student Support Services Tutoring
Student Support Services (SSS) is one of the federally funded TRIO programs for education. To be eligible for SSS, you must apply to the program and meet at least one of the following criteria: neither parent has a 4-year (bachelor’s) degree, you meet the federal low income requirements for TRIO programs, or you have a documented disability (physical or learning). SSS tutoring is free to Southwestern students that qualify.

Tutoring Lab
The College provides a wide range of tutoring and academic support services through the Tutoring Lab including special help in math. The Tutoring Lab and Math Lab are all located in Randolph Hall.

Transitional Education (formerly Adult Learning Skills)
The Transitional Education (formerly Adult Learning Skills Program) provides access to information, skills and resources for individuals who are in the process of a major life change. A variety of classes and support services are available to prepare participants for success in their families, in the workforce and in academic programs.
