*Before the tutor checks your paper, you should decide what one or two items you want checked:

• subject/verb agreement
• verb tense

—Content
—Organization
—Documentation
—Word choice, transitions, etc.

In the reading corner:

• You can use the sofa any time you want.
• Books are put on the shelf alphabetically by the last name of the author.
• You can check out books at the tutor's desk.

In the center:

• You can use any computer.
• Instant messaging, chat rooms and related applications are off limits.
• You can print one copy of material for your writing assignments and up to ten pages off the Internet at no charge. However, there is a charge of 5 cents per page beyond the limit.
• You can read any newspaper.
• You can eat sweets in the cups.
• Contribute a quarter if you have coffee or candy often.
