Mission of Accessible Education Services

Accessible Education Services (AES) mission is to create a barrier-free environment,  to support and celebrate each person’s uniqueness and individual needs, to challenge and reduce inaccurate beliefs and stereotypes  about person with disabilities and their abilities, and to assist students with disabilities in meeting their educational goals through the provision of academic/learning accommodations. We respect all people regardless of disability, economic status, gender, race, religion, political affiliation,  ethnic background, or sexual orientation.

If you are a student with a disability, you may be eligible for course accommodations. Course accommodations may include extra time on tests and exams, separate testing area, note taker, additional time for major course assignments, and more. Students interested in applying for accommodations need to fill out an application and provide documentation of the disability. The documentation needs to include the qualifying disability, barriers experienced in relation to learning, and course accommodations you would like to discuss.

For more information, please contact the Accessible Education Services office at 541-888-1578 or 541-888-7405, or visit the Student Success Center in Stensland Hall.
