STEP (SNAP Training & Employment Program) is FREE and helps Southwestern students on SNAP focus on school and future careers. Get one-on-one support, career coaching, help with books, supplies, transportation, and more! Everything you need to stay on track, graduate, and go confidently into your career.
Am I Eligible?
TANF recipients are not eligible, please contact us if your TANF benefits are ending soon!
- Must be currently receiving SNAP benefits.
- Must be interested in pursuing education, training, and/or employment opportunities.
STEP Has You Covered!
- Academic Support – GED®, college prep, and one-on-one guidance
- Financial Help – Tuition, fees, books, supplies, transportation…and more
- School & Work Essentials – Tools, equipment, PPE, and work/interview clothing
- Career Readiness – Job search, resumes, applications, and interview prep

- Update or create new iMatch account
Participants determined eligible will schedule a time to meet with a STEP Career Coach to develop an individualized plan to fit their needs and goals.
