Our Motto: “Once a Laker, always a Laker”

Southwestern Oregon Community College Foundation provides opportunities for alumni to reconnect and celebrate Southwestern’s students and community. We hope that by encouraging engagement between alumni and the college, together we can honor the college’s history, instill pride and create a legacy.

Are you an alum? Join us at athletic events. Attend our super fun events that support scholarships.

  • October SWOCC Foundation Golf Classic at Bandon Dunes
  • January “Uncorking Opportunity” celebration at Oregon Coast Culinary Institute
  • April Winemakers Dinner

Help us celebrate alums. Each year we honor an alum who has improved their profession, education, communities, and the world. The College is accepts nominations annually through April 1. To be eligible, nominees must have graduated with a degree or certificate, or have completed a minimum of 60 credits from Southwestern. Our distinguished alumni are leaders in education, the arts, Native American tribes, business and finance, research, health care, and the military.

Ways To Be Involved

Be a Scholarship Reader

Each March, SWOCC Foundation engages 100 volunteers to read scholarship applications. This is a great way to give back to the college and support students. For a volunteer, the process is an online engagement with a 3- to 4-hour commitment. For details, email foundation@socc.edu.

Attend Athletic Events

SWOCC has the largest, most active athletic program of any Oregon community college. Connect with us through the college’s social media channels or website calendar for game schedules, live coverage links or attend in person.

Attend Lectures

Southwestern’s popular Geology, Physics and Chemistry Lecture Series bring in some of the nation’s top scientists and current topics. Learn about the latest research, fun discoveries and scientific exploration. Connect with us through the college’s social media channels or website calendar for schedules, live coverage links or attend in person.
